Czech ex-president Miloš Zeman (81) underwent acute surgery on Thursday in Prague. According to his wife Ivana (60), he had purulent abscess on the back. “I’m glad that everything turned out well,” she said.
Czech media reports that Zeman’s abscess could have formed after bronchitis, which he overcame a few days before the parliamentary elections and for which he took strong antibiotics. Subsequently, he had a very exhausting work schedule, a birthday celebration, a talk with an autograph session, participation in pre-election events of the Stačilo movement and television appearances.
