Feijóo points out his astonishment “that no one in Congress once and for all withdraws confidence in a Government surrounded by corruption”
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, shared this morning the “stupor” of Supreme Court Judge Leopoldo Puente at the fact that the former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos remains a deputy despite his accusation in the Koldo case. Furthermore, he has also expressed surprise “that there is no one in Congress who will once and for all withdraw confidence in the Government”, which he considers the most corrupt in democracy.
In a statement to the media before participating in an event in Madrid, Feijóo stated that “the vast majority of Spaniards share the astonishment of seeing how the three people who elevated [Pedro] Sánchez, one declared yesterday in the Supreme Court, another does so today and another is in jail”, in reference, respectively, to Ábalos, Koldo García and Santos Cerdán. “Contrasting this with what the president said yesterday that he has one of the most decent Governments in Europe causes absolute astonishment,” he added. Also, he affirms, it causes astonishment “to continue seeing how Ábalos follows the instructions of the President of the Government and the Government in all the votes.” He believes that Sánchez is “absolutely surrounded by corruption and surprised that there is no one in Congress to once and for all withdraw Confidence in the Government in which there has been more corruption than ever.”
