Director Christian Petzold says he has just come from a lot of film festivals, after the topic on which the conversation is supposed to revolve – film festivals in general and the Viennale, of which he has been the new president since this year, in particular – has been flagged out. “Cannes, Toronto, Switzerland, New York and now I’m still jetlagged and basically like one of my characters in the film: a little ghostly.”
