The minister, of the Federal Supreme Court (), ordered that the deputy (PL-SP) take on the defense in the complaint for “coercion” in the process. In an order this Thursday (16), the minister ordered the body to be notified to appoint a public defender to work on the case. The decision was taken because the deputy did not appoint a lawyer in the process.

The bailiff was unable to notify Eduardo. The deputy has been in , but has addresses in . Therefore, Moraes authorized the notification by notice, from the publication of the subpoena in the Official Gazette and in newspapers of mass circulation.

The notice was published on September 30th. The deputy had 15 days to present his defense. The deadline ended this Wednesday (15), so Moraes ordered the process to continue with the Public Defender’s Office.

The blogger, who was also reported, but lives in the United States, will be summoned by letter rogatory. In this case, notification depends on the cooperation of American authorities, which makes the process longer. Therefore, Moraes decided to split the action. Reports will be processed separately.

The Attorney General’s Office () denounced Eduardo and Paulo Figueiredo for articulating sanctions against the STF in the United States. According to Attorney General of the Republic Paulo Gonet, the campaign aimed to pressure ministers not to condemn former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

For the attorney general, it was proven that Eduardo and Paulo Figueiredo used contacts in the Donald Trump government to “embarrass the jurisdictional performance” of the Federal Supreme Court.

In a joint note, Eduardo and Paulo Figueiredo said they were the target of “political persecution”, attributed the complaint to “lackeys” of minister Alexandre de Moraes and said they would continue the campaign in the United States.
