The United States authorized CIA operations in Venezuela, which increased tension between the two sides
The conversation was supposed to be about peace and how to get there, but the president of the United States showed that he is not in favor of half measures with Venezuela, with whom tensions are clearly increasing.
During the meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Donald Trump spoke about Nicolás Maduro, issuing a serious warning to the Venezuelan president.
“He’s already offered everything. He’s offered everything, he’s right,” Donald Trump responded to a journalist, at a time when the United States is preparing operations on the ground through the CIA, even fearing military intervention in the South American country.
And it was after this that Donald Trump went further: “Do you know why? Because he doesn’t want to mess with the United States”, he added, using the expression “fuck” in English, clearly emphasizing his irritation on the subject.
Washington DC accuses Nicolás Maduro of leading a drug trafficking network and recently increased the reward for his capture to 50 million dollars. The Venezuelan president denied any connection with drug trafficking.
Nicolás Maduro accused the United States of seeking regime change in Venezuela and accused the CIA of involvement in coups d’état in the region.
This Thursday, Venezuela’s permanent representative to the United Nations accused the United States of wanting to “impose a coup d’état” in his country and asked the Security Council to “investigate the murders they have perpetrated.”
“In this region, its dark history is already known, with processes of destabilization, sabotage, counter-insurgency, planning of coups d’état and murders”, said Samuel Moncada.
