The United States Trade Representative (USTR), Jamieson Greer, stated this Thursday (16), that the conversation between the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, was “very positive in relation to trade” and “ongoing bilateral issues”.
Both sides also agreed to work together to schedule a meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as soon as possible.
Brazil and the US will “collaborate and conduct discussions on multiple fronts in the immediate future and establish a path forward,” the note added.
