Vitão no Flamengo: valores e chance da negociação acontecer image

Vitão’s future at Internacional is once again a topic behind the scenes of Brazilian football. An absolute starter in the Colorado defense, the 25-year-old defender has once again been speculated as a possible reinforcement for Flamengo for next season.

The possible transfer has gained momentum in recent days, with information involving not only financial values, but also the possibility of debt relief and even exchanging players. But how is this negotiation going? THE Sporting News show.

Vitão at Flamengo?

At the beginning of the year, the red-blacks had already tried to make an attack on the defender. At the time, the player even expressed interest in a possible transfer to Rio de Janeiro. However, Inter’s board refused the proposal, betting on more advantageous future negotiations with European or Arab clubs — in addition to avoiding the strengthening of a direct competitor on the national scene.

According to information gathered by “Lance!”, conversations between Flamengo and Inter took place again recently. Although there is still no official proposal, directors from both clubs would be aligning values and conditions for a possible offer. A formal proposal was floated last week, but has not been implemented to date.

In the first negotiation attempt, the locals offered around R$37 million, in addition to debt relief related to the economic rights of midfielder Thiago Maia — pending issue still open.

This time, the suggestion revolves around a package that would reach approximately 15 million euros (R$95.5 million at current prices).

The proposal would include a cash part, another referring to the reduction of the debt with Thiago Maia and the inclusion of one or more players who are not in the red-black coach’s plans.

Among the names speculated are Everton Cebolinha, Matheus França (Michel) and Allan. Inter, in turn, would have signaled that they expect around 10 million euros (R$63.7 million) in cash alone to start any more concrete conversations.

Vitão’s contract at Inter

Currently, number 4 has a contract with Inter until December 31, 2026. Flamengo’s interest rekindles the possibility of a major negotiation in the next window, but, for now, the defender remains focused on the club from Rio Grande do Sul.

Vitão arrived at Beira-Rio in 2022, after returning from FC Shakhtar Donetsk, in Ukraine, due to the Russian invasion. Since then, he has built a solid trajectory at the Rio Grande do Sul club: he has played 182 matches and scored three goals, consolidating himself as a key player in Colorado’s defensive system.
