The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, said he trusts the USA to end the war against Russia, after meeting with the American president, Donald Trump, at the White House, this Friday, 17th.
He classified the conversation with the Republican as “long and productive”.
“I know that Trump wants to work to end the war in Ukraine. I talked about security guarantees for Ukraine with him,” he told reporters, adding that Tomahawk missiles were discussed.

According to the Ukrainian leader, it will be difficult to negotiate changes to Ukrainian territorial limits.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump assessed the meeting as “very interesting and cordial” and signaled that “it is time to stop the killing” and reach a peace agreement in Eastern Europe.
“There has been enough bloodshed, with property lines being defined by war and courage. They must stop where they are,” he wrote.
