The city of Tarija, Bolivia, was hit by an intense hailstorm that lasted less than an hour but caused significant damage. The hail accumulated more than a meter high, causing some roofs to collapse.

In the morning, temperatures in Tarija exceeded 30 degrees. In the late afternoon, a hailstorm suddenly hit the city, which is more than 1,800 meters above sea level and is close to the border with Argentina.

The storm was quick, it lasted less than an hourbut it was enough to cover the entire region. With the weight of the ice, some roofs collapsed. The hail accumulated more than one meter high.
