The Government of Iran announced this Saturday that it no longer considers itself subject to the restrictions imposed in the nuclear agreement signed in 2015, after the expiration of its key provisions, although it defended its intention to continue. through the diplomatic path.
“All provisions, (of the agreement) including the planned restrictions on the Iranian nuclear program and related mechanisms, are considered terminated,” declared the Iranian Foreign Ministry in an official statement.
The pact, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was reached in 2015 between Iran and six powers (United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China and Germany), with the aim of limiting the development of the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions.
