Czech singer Aneta Langerová (38) he strictly guards his privacy, but it is no secret that he loves the female sex. In a recent interview with the newspaper, she made an exception and revealed how she confessed her orientation to her father and what his immediate reaction was.
The winner of the first Czech series of the singing competition Czech Republic is looking for a Superstar from 2004 recently attended the christening of the new book Self-aware with interviews by Svetlana Witowská, while her brother accompanied her.
“The men in our family understand that I generally like men and enjoy being in their presence, but I was always more attracted to the world of women.” she openly admitted. She immediately went back in time and relived those fears of how her father would react when he admitted that he was more inclined towards women in love.
“I went around the football field with my dad about ten times before I told him and he was perfectly fine. This surprised me, because previously father was uncommunicative, but after those events with mother, our relationship is much closer, even friendly. And he is like that until now, I am very happy with him. Dad was excited, he was saying something to the effect that we are cool,” she explained with enthusiasm.
Langer was referring to a tragic event in her family. When she was 14, her mother committed suicide. It was she who enrolled her as a little girl in the folk art school, as she saw great talent in her. Her siblings, sister Denisa and brother Nikola, took her under their protective wings. She also wanted to confess to them and not hide, but it was not so easy.
Her relatives were getting worried. “Since I wasn’t able to tell him, my brother suspected me for a long time that I was living with someone who was maybe in prison, or that he was someone I knew, or that he was (without wanting to offend anyone) some crazy biker. All kinds of things were going through his head, so he was actually relieved after that.” she stated, but surely a big stone fell from her heart as well.
Although she revealed more about her private life, she did not want to directly reveal whether she is currently in a relationship. “I never talk about this, but I’m having a great time” she added. In the past, she was a couple with music publisher Iva Milerová and subsequently lived with documentary filmmaker Olga Špátová.
