After a few months, the rest of the tree will decay. The trunk will become brittle, soft and partially rotten. Therefore, we will be able to remove it manually, without using an excavator.

Epsom salt has a similar effect to baking soda and vinegar, as it effectively destroys tree roots. This method is quick and effective, but we must remember that it leads to high salinity of the soil, so no plant will grow in this place for a long time.
Another home method to remove the stump is to use nitrogen fertilizers, e.g. ammonium nitrate. We usually use these products to stimulate plants to grow, but few people know that they can be useful for getting rid of tree remains. Here we also drill holes in the trunk and pour the product inside. Then organisms that accelerate decomposition will multiply. You will have to wait a while for the effects of this method, from 3 to 5 years.
We will remove the stump faster with the help of mycelium. In gardening stores you can buy giant lichen, which is perfect for this treatment. All you need to do is pour the preparation into the drilled holes and finally protect it with perforated foil to prevent it from drying out. With this method we will be able to remove the tree residue after 6 months.
