At least 10 people were injured after a third-floor balcony collapsed on a residential building in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday. TASR informs about it on the basis of reports from the AP agency and the CBS News television station.
One of the injured was taken to the hospital in critical condition, five people suffered more serious injuries. The residential building is located in close proximity to the University of Cincinnati campus. Immediately after the incident, the exact number of people on the balcony at the time of its collapse was not known.
Local police captain Stephen Bower described the building whose balcony collapsed as “a place where many students live”. “They had an important exam today and they were celebrating,” he added.
