Collision of a tourist vehicle in the region of Paranatama and Saloá, in Pernambuco, leaves 17 dead until Saturday night (18.Oct)
A tourist bus with more than 30 passengers on BR-423, between the municipalities of Paranatama and Saloá, in the countryside of Pernambuco, on Friday (17.Oct.2025), until Saturday night (18.Oct).
According to the (Federal Highway Police), the vehicle entered the wrong lane, collided with rock formations on the side of the road and hit a sand bank before overturning. To date, at least 17 patients are hospitalized, 2 of which are in serious condition.

The vehicle transported passengers from different cities in Minas Gerais and Bahia, who were returning from a shopping trip. I was traveling from Santa Cruz do Capibaribe (PE) to Brumado (BA).
The distance between the municipalities is 1,097 km, and the accident occurred approximately 2 hours after the start of the journey, according to the PRF.
