Sporting beats Paços de Ferreira in extra time and continues in the Portuguese Cup

O Paços de Ferreira advanced twice, but it was Sporting who managed to progress to the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup.

Sporting continues in the Portuguese Cup, after beating Paços de Ferreira, from the II League, 3-2 in extra time.

Paços de Ferreira took the lead in the 18th minute, with a goal from Ronaldo Lumungo. Not five minutes later, the lions’ response arrived. Pedro Gonçalves made it 1-1 in the 22nd minute.

In the second half, the II Liga team took the lead again, with a goal from João Victor in the 49th minute. In the 61st minute, Ioannidis scored the 2-2 goal, which took the match to extra time.

In the 104th minute, the Lions managed, for the first time, to take the lead with an own goal from Tiago Ferreira, which earned them passage to the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup.

Sporting will face, in the next round, Anadia or Marinhense, both from the Portuguese Championship.
