The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Sunday the immediate suspension of all US aid to Colombia, Gustavo Petro, of being a “drug trafficking leader.”
In a message published on his platform Truth Social, Trump denounced that “massive drug production has become, by far, Colombia’s biggest business, and Petro does nothing to stop it.”
The president assured that the aid that the United States provides to Colombia has become a “long-term scam” and announced that “As of today, “any form of payment or subsidy to Colombia” will be suspended.
“If Petro, an unrecognized and unpopular leader, does not immediately close the extermination camps that represent the drug production areas in his country, the United States will close them for him, and it will not be pretty,” said the Republican,
“As of today, these payments, or any other form of payment or subsidy, will no longer be made to Colombia. The purpose of this drug production is the massive sale of products to the United States, causing death, destruction and havoc,” stated the US president.
