Bulletin points to 22 deaths from Covid-19 in 2025; total cases reach more than 175 thousand

Acre confirmed 4,210 cases of Covid-19 between January and October 11, 2025, according to the bulletin released by the State Department of Health (Sesacre). Since the beginning of the pandemic, the state has registered 439,532 notifications, of which 175,578 were confirmed and 263,949 discarded.

The number of deaths in 2025 reached 22, bringing the total number of deaths between 2023 and 2025 to 77. The majority of victims were over 60 years old and had comorbidities, representing 64.9% of fatal cases. Acre has a fatality rate of 0.5% and a mortality rate of 8.6 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants, with the municipality of Bujari leading the mortality rates (28.8) and lethality (6.8).

Between 2023 and 2025, the most affected age group was 40 to 49 years old, with a predominance of women (62.5%). As for race, 68.2% of positive cases in 2025 were mixed-race people, followed by yellow (13.2%), white (11.4%), black (2.6%) and indigenous (0.4%). The incidence in the state is 1,911.1 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, with emphasis on Acrelândia, which registered 3,763.7 per 100 thousand inhabitants in the period. In 2025, until Epidemiological Week 41, the municipality also has the highest rate of cases, with 1,329.9 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
