The US Secret Service has discovered a suspicious hunting platform that has a direct line of sight to the point where President Donald Trump disembarks from Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport, authorities reported this Sunday (19) to Fox News Digital.
Agents found the structure on Thursday (16). Since then, the FBI has led the investigation into the discovery. FBI Director Kash Patel said the platform has not yet been linked to any individual.
“Prior to the president’s return to West Palm Beach, the Secret Service discovered what appeared to be an elevated fighter platform overlooking the Air Force One landing zone,” Patel told Fox News Digital. “No people were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigative lead, deploying resources to collect all evidence and employing our cell phone analysis capabilities.”

Investigation underway
Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi also confirmed that the agency is “working closely” with the FBI in addition to Palm Beach County law enforcement.
Guglielmi said agents discovered the structure during “advanced security preparations” before Trump arrived in Palm Beach.
“There was no impact on any displacement and no people were present or involved at the scene,” Guglielmi said. “While we cannot provide details on specific items or their intent, this incident reinforces the importance of our layered security measures,” he added.

A police source said the structure appeared to have been installed “months ago”.
Trump assassination attempts
The investigation comes weeks after Ryan Routh was found guilty of trying to assassinate Trump on a Palm Beach golf course from a sniper’s nest set up in bushes near a fence.
Routh, 59, has been charged with five federal crimes, including attempted murder of a prominent presidential candidate, assault on a federal agent and multiple firearms offenses.
This alleged attempt followed another attack in July 2024, in which Trump was shot in the ear during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
