The Ministry of Culture announced one by one the valuable exhibits that are now in the possession of the perpetrators of the robbery in the Apollo Gallery of the Museum.
As reported by the Ministry of Culture, it is about “…eight objects of inestimable cultural value that were stolen this Sunday morning from the Louvre”.
Specifically, it is about:
- A tiara from the Queen Marie-Amelie and Queen Hortense Jewelry Set
- A necklace from the sapphire jewelry set of Queen Marie-Amelie and Queen Hortense
- An earring from the sapphire jewelry set of Queen Marie-Amelie and Queen Hortense

- A pair of emerald earrings from the Marie-Louise jewelry set

The crown fell to them
Thieves removed eight valuable objects from the museum, while also attempting to steal a ninth, the crown of Empress Eugenia which was found dumped at the scene of the theft.
The crown of Empress Eugénie (1826–1920), stolen earlier today, has been found broken outside the Louvre Museum.

The Paris prosecutor clarified that the famous 140-carat Regent white diamond, which is on display in the same room, was not targeted by the thieves.
Sotheby’s estimates that the diamond is worth more than $60 million.
