  • Wife Rebecca appeals for more brain tumor research.

His behavior changed

Henry’s wife Rebecca first noticed in 2022 that something was wrong. “A year before his diagnosis, his personality began to change. When we were on holiday in France in May 2023 with friends and our son Edward, who was two at the time, his sarcasm peaked. We argued more than ever because he said things that were not like him at all. I no longer recognized the man I married,” she said.

A few months later, Henry started experiencing severe migraines. Therefore, the doctor sent him for a CT scan, which revealed an inoperable and incurable brain tumor. “It was hard to take it all in. I was dealing with Henry’s symptoms while raising our son, who was two years old at the time,” Rebecca explained.

He eventually succumbed to the disease

After the diagnosis, Henry began radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Rebecca revealed that her husband was determined to continue his treatment despite his condition. “We felt like everything was going back to normal because his old personality came back for two months,” she noted. In the end, the Englishman died only 11 months after his diagnosis.

Rebecca added that Henry was given very limited treatment options. “I’m not sure if people realize that the investment in brain tumor research is much smaller compared to other types of cancer. I hope that by pointing this out, everyone will take action to help keep families together,” emphasized the sad mother.

Henry’s family and friends have set up a fundraiser for the charity Brain Tumor Research to help raise funds for brain tumor research. His former colleagues, who are going to take part in an event called the National Triple Peak Challenge in May 2026, also want to help.
