The president (Republican) said this Monday (20.Oct.2025) at the White House that China may have to face a 155% tariff from November 1st if it does not reach a trade agreement with the United States.

Trump said he will meet “in a few weeks” with Chinese President Xi Jinping (Communist Party of China, left) in South Korea. “Let’s see what we can do”declared the republican.

“I believe that when we finish our meetings in South Korea, China and I will have a really fair and excellent trade agreement”said Trump.

The Republican also declared that “loves” the relationship he has with Xi Jinping and that he was invited by the Chinese to visit the Asian country in early 2026.

The US president has already on October 10th that would impose 100% tariffs on Chinese goods from November 1st.

According to the Republican, it would be a response to Beijing’s decision to hold on most of its products. “This affects all countries without exception and was obviously a plan they devised years ago. It is absolutely unprecedented in international trade and a moral disgrace in relations with other nations.”, Trump.
