According to the agency Reuterso Boeing 747 collided with a security patrol car immediately after touching the ground. The impact resulted in death of two airport employeeswhile the four aircraft crew escaped without injury.

In a note, the Emirates reported that the plane did not carry cargo at the time of the accident and that the model was rented under wet lease contract — modality in which one airline provides the other with the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance.
“The four crew members on board are doing well and are receiving medical attention. Emirates expresses its condolences to the families and colleagues of the two airport employees who lost their lives,” the company stated.
A runway hit remains closed for inspections, but airport operations remain normal. The airport authority reported that it is providing assistance to the families of the victims and cooperating with the investigations.
