The president of , (União Brasil-AP), did not want to speak to the press this Tuesday (21) about the event on Monday night (20), at Palácio da Alvorada. The meeting was scheduled to discuss possible names for the vacancy of minister of the (Supreme Federal Court).
“The meeting was very good. I had coffee, mineral water, hot cheese, pastry”, he said, upon entering Congress and being approached by journalists.
Earlier, the leader of the Senate government, (PT-BA), said that Alcolumbre told him about his support for the senator (PSD-MG) for the position of minister of the STF.
“That’s what I expected. He went to defend Pacheco’s name. I think it’s absolutely normal,” said Wagner. The PT parliamentarian added that, despite this, he understands that Lula “is convinced” about the name of another candidate, the Union’s attorney general, Jorge Messias. “But I don’t want to get ahead of myself,” he added.
Wagner also stated that President Lula is also convinced that the best name to compete for the government of Minas Gerais is Pacheco.
