“The product’s commercialization, distribution, manufacturing, import, dissemination and consumption were suspended as determined by Anvisa. The batches must be collected, as established by the agency”, states the entity in a statement.
The measure took place after the product manufacturer itself, HL do Brasil Indústria e Comércio de Produtos Alimentícios Ltda., communicated the voluntary recall of the items. The initiative occurred after analyzes revealed iodine levels below those established in legislation.
The presence of iodine in table salt helps prevent mineral deficiency in the body. A lack of it in the body can cause health problems, including an enlarged thyroid, in addition to harming the development of the fetus during pregnancy.

Olive oil is also suspended
The regulatory entity also ordered the recall of all batches of Ouro Negro Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Just like Kinino brand salt, the item was also prohibited from being sold, distributed, manufactured, imported, advertised and consumed.
Due to its unknown origin, the product was denounced and disqualified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa). Another irregularity was also identified by the agency.
“The product label states that it is imported by Intralogística Distribuidora Concept Ltda., a company that has CNPJ 72.726.474/0002-07 suspended at the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service”, highlights Anvisa.
Miracle Tea
The entity’s supervisory action also covered Chá do Milagre (Pó do Milagre or Pozinho do Milagre). The agency ordered the seizure of the product due to its unknown composition and classification, in addition to the lack of identity of those responsible for manufacturing it.
Publications on social networks associating the use of the item with therapeutic advantages, including weight loss, treatment for anxiety and insomnia, cancer prevention and sexual stimulant, also motivated the decision. The dissemination of statements of this nature linked to foods and teas is prohibited.
