The Government of Gaza denounces that only 986 of the 6,600 agreed trucks with aid have arrived

The press office of the Gaza Government, controlled by Hamas, reported this Tuesday that only 986 of the 6,600 humanitarian aid trucks scheduled since the ceasefire came into force have entered Gaza, according to a statement shared on its official channels.

“We observed that the average number of trucks entering Gaza daily since the beginning of the ceasefire has not exceeded 89 trucks out of the 600 that were expected to enter daily,” he adds.

The Office has emphasized that “these limited quantities do not cover minimum humanitarian and life-saving needs, and that the Gaza Strip urgently needs a regular flow of no less than 600 trucks of aid daily, including food, medical and relief supplies, fuel for operations and cooking gas, to ensure the minimum needs for a dignified life.”

Israel closed all access points to Gaza this Sunday, in retaliation for an alleged attack by Hamas in the south of the enclave, only to partially return to operation the following day. The Israeli army also bombed the south and center of the Strip, killing around 45 people, as confirmed by the Gaza Health Service. (Efe)
