If you want to prepare something completely different than traditional, Caldo Verde is worth trying. This is a classic Portuguese cuisine dish that perfectly combines different flavors and is very easy to prepare.

The main ingredients of this soup are potatoes, cabbage and chorizo. Often, instead of cabbage, the recipe includes kale, which is a traditional ingredient of this dish. It is also worth adding that this dish is perfect in autumn, because it warms up and adds energy. What’s more, even people who don’t have much experience in the kitchen can handle the recipe. So it’s worth trying this dish of Portuguese cuisine.

Caldo Verde will be delicious if we take care of several aspects. By deciding on version with cabbage, choose one that is delicate and young, thanks to which the soup will have a milder flavor, and what’s more, it won’t have to cook for so long.

Add the cabbage and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, brown the sausage slices in the pan. Add them to the finished soup and season with salt and pepper.
