Inflation compensation for nurses and social workers? Employers warn of job cuts

The demands for the 130,000 employees in the private health, social and care sectors (social economy collective agreement) were handed over to employers at the beginning of October. Negotiations will now take place on Tuesday – under difficult conditions: “A deal below the inflation rate is not acceptable for the employees,” says Eva Scherz from the private employees’ union (GPA) to STANDARD. They do not want to agree to “a devaluation of salaries”.
