Vienna – Saving remains an important concern for Austrians. This is evident in the run-up to World Savings Day, which will be celebrated for the 100th time on October 31st in Austria. For 80 percent of Austrians, saving is “very” or “fairly important”. This value is only one percentage point below the record values ​​from the previous year and during the 2021 pandemic. This is shown by the current survey on the saving behavior of Austrians, which was commissioned by Erste Bank.
