The defense of (PL) asked the (Supreme Federal Court) this Wednesday (22) for authorization for the former president to receive visits from the president of , , and four other people.
The request will be analyzed by Minister Alexandre de Moraes. At his suggestion, the First Panel of the Supreme Court decided on Tuesday (21) against the leader of the Liberal Party for alleged participation in the coup plot.
Valdemar was prevented from talking to Bolsonaro for more than a year during Federal Police investigations into the attempted coup d’état. The president of the PL was appointed at the conclusion of the investigation, but the (Attorney General’s Office) decided not to report him to the STF.
In his decision, Moraes must assess whether Valdemar and Bolsonaro can maintain contact in light of the party leader’s new investigation status.
The former president’s defense also requested authorization for visits from retired judge Sebastião Coelho, bishop Robson Rodovalho, TCU (Federal Audit Court) minister Jorge Oliveira and federal deputy Alfredo Gaspar (União Brasil-AL), rapporteur for the INSS CPI.
