He is dealing with an unpleasant problem with his son. Losing personal belongings, such as a wallet, identity card or documents, is a nightmare that no one wants to deal with. Immediately after the initial shock comes a wave of frustration. Endless paperwork at the offices, filling out forms and explaining what happened. A similar situation was also experienced by the former presenter and ex-showrunner Andy Timková.
She shared with her followers on the social network what she has been dealing with in the last few hours. “Listen to me, this is Kocúrkovo, this country of ours. About half an hour ago we found out that my son had lost, my son Adam in the wheelchair, he had lost his bag with the keys, with the phone, with everything. And I want to unblock or block his card. I can’t. Because I’m not him,” she spoke with tears on the verge of breaking down and explained that, according to her, the bank could not be called.
But problems also arose outside the bank. “I wanted to buy him a new phone. You can’t do without it, you can’t buy a new phone without its documents. I say, but he is a wheelchair user, I am his mother. I need a cell phone for him at night to keep him safe. No, it’s simply not possible here. Do you understand? We are indeed God’s country,” she described with a broken voice what she was dealing with.
But her son continued to try to block the bank card. “Now I got a call from Adam saying he’s trying to block his card from my computer via the app. And he’s asking him to finish blocking the card on his stolen phone. So I’m asking if someone, when their account is cleared now, will (the bank, editor’s note) replace the money, since it is not possible to call you, since it is not possible to block the card through the computer. How will it be dealt with? This is kind of brutal,” she asked in the video, which you can find above the article.
She revealed the details in the description of the post. “So, my dears, I found out yesterday that when you want to arrange an immediate blocking of the card at the bank, it takes 45 minutes to get there! And during that time someone can easily take all your money“, the former presenter got upset.
“Then I tried to buy a new phone because Adam can’t go a day without a phone as he’s in a wheelchair and sometimes needs immediate help. I couldn’t buy or check anything on his flat rate because I didn’t have a power of attorney and even if he came, since he doesn’t have an identity document, we wouldn’t do anything! Because GDPR!” she continued.
Fortunately, they managed to arrange something in the end. “Today we got a new phone and from tomorrow the torture starts: identity card, health card, card for persons with disabilities, euro key for visiting toilets for ŤŽP. And of course we had to change the lock. Just so you know that helplessness in this country sometimes knows no bounds,” added Timková.
