The company sent a message to Teixeira stating that the accounts did not violate big tech policies and saying that access to the profiles had been restored.
On Sunday (19), the minister posted a video on a social network questioning Meta about the reasons for taking down the profiles of associations that offer treatment and activists who deal with the issue.
“I asked this question because it characterizes censorship and I want to know if this censorship comes from the company itself or if there is a court decision”, says the minister.
“If it comes from the company itself, I have asked for these accounts to be reestablished. Otherwise, we will ask for judicial protection for the reestablishment of these accounts on Instagram, because the lack of them harms Brazilian society and patients who inform themselves and seek treatment with these associations,” he said.
