Several people were injured on Wednesday in a bus accident on a roundabout in the Hungarian town of Szolnok, 110 kilometers southeast of Budapest. The bus veered off the road and crashed into the Katalin Vargova High School building. According to the szoljon.hu server, in addition to ambulances, rescuers deployed two helicopters to help the injured, reports the TASR correspondent in Budapest.

The directorate of the civil protection office of the Jasovsko-Great-Kumańsk-Solnočka capital said that the bus also uprooted a tree during the impact. In the gymnasium building, they closed the room that was damaged by the impact. Other premises of the school did not have to be evacuated. No one was injured in the building. According to unconfirmed reports, the cause of the accident was brake failure. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the police.
