Motorcyclist Ray Silva da Costa, aged 20, was seriously injured after being involved in a traffic accident with a Ricco bus on Wednesday night (22), at the intersection of Laranja and Ingá streets, in the Mocinha Magalhães neighborhood, in Rio Branco.

According to information from witnesses, Ray was traveling at high speed along Rua Ingá on a red Honda CG 160 Start motorcycle when, while trying to cross Rua Laranja, he violently collided with the side of the bus, which was traveling on the preferential route towards Centro-Bairro.
With the impact of the crash, the motorcyclist was thrown and suffered a very serious traumatic brain injury (TBI), in addition to injuries to his left eyebrow and right knee. The victim fell unconscious at the scene.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) was called and sent two ambulances — one for basic support and the other for advanced support. The rescuers performed the first care, intubated the victim and took him to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, where his health condition was considered very serious.

Military police officers from the Traffic Battalion isolated the area for forensic work. After completing the procedures, the motorcycle was removed by a tow truck.
