Thai police have detained a man who was performing illegal penis enlargement surgeries right in his car. Pittaya Moolin, 51, from Bangkok, also known by the nickname Chang Yai Modify, offered men in the capital and surrounding provinces genital modifications directly in the car. These included circumcision, pearl implantation and penile enlargement injections.
According to the police, the customers who ordered the procedure were shocked, when they were invited to enter his 1990s gray Toyota Corolla where Moolin was performing the procedures. Following several complaints, the Central Investigation Service, together with the Consumer Protection Police, launched an investigation.
The man was detained on October 18, when he was performing the so-called pearling – implantation of pearls under the skin – directly in a parked car on Kamphaeng Phet Street 6. During the intervention, the police seized 189 different types of pearls, local anesthetics, surgical needles, scalpels and other tools, which according to the investigators were used in unsanitary conditions.
Moolin admitted to having no medical training and learned the procedures by watching videos on social media, according to police. “I became interested in this job, so I studied and developed it as a side business to make extra money. I’ve been doing it for about a year,” he said.
According to investigators charged 1,000 baht (about 60 euros) for pearl implantation, 5,000 baht (over 300 euros) for circumcision and 10,000 baht (about 650 euros) for penis enlargement injections, which increase the volume with the help of filling.
“Pearl implantation or injections to enlarge the penis represent a high risk of inflammation or infection, which can lead to dysfunction of the penis. We warn all who participate in these activities to stop immediately. The police will continue to monitor and intervene in these cases,” warned the police chief Kongkrit Lertsitthikun, Chief of Consumer Protection Department. Moolin was charged with unauthorized practice of medicine without registration and license.
