A new one was committed today in . Luigi Morcaldi, 62, fatally stabbed his ex-wife and peer, Luciana Ronchi, under her home.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries a short time ago.
Police found the attacker’s knife thrown in a trash can in a park near the victim’s home. Officers were able to immediately locate and arrest Morcaldi from his cell phone signal, which he only used for a few seconds.
The couple had separated three years ago and Luciana Ronchi, who worked in a private company canteen, had recently formed a new bond. Her ex-husband was waiting for her under the house with the motorbike. Without removing the helmet, he repeatedly stabbed her – with unprecedented violence – in the neck, chest and abdomen.
