Fuel prices continue to be a sensitive topic for drivers in Portugal, with small differences between stations can make a big difference in monthly expenses. According to the website specialized in monitoring fuel prices, Mais Gasolina, it is possible to consult the cheapest fuel stations nationwide or filter the results by district and municipality, with only those with prices updated in the last 14 days being displayed.
Simple 95 gasoline led by Intermarché de Vilar Formoso
In the case of simple 95 gasoline, the cheapest liter is at the Intermarché station in Vilar Formoso, at 1,479 euros. Next are Petroprix in Matosinhos, at 1,489 euros, and Bxpress in Estarreja, at 1,498 euros per liter.
Auchan in Santo Tirso and Matosinhos have practically the same prices, 1,499 euros per liter. According to the same source, these values result from a recent update that allows drivers to plan refueling with greater security and avoid surprises when filling the tank.
Simple diesel maintains significant regional differences
With regard to simple diesel, the cheapest liter is at the Petroprix station in Matosinhos, at 1,349 euros. Auchan follows in the same city, at 1,359 euros per liter.
Gasolar in Monção and Intermarché in Vilar Formoso cost 1,359 and 1,379 euros, respectively, while Bxpress in Estarreja reaches 1,387 euros.
This variation highlights how prices can differ greatly between regions, even when the locations are relatively close, reflecting the particularities of each local market.
Simple 98 gasoline with higher prices in coastal regions
In the simple 98 gasoline segment, the cheapest liter is found at Intermarché in Sátão, at 1,629 euros. Next are Intermarché in Vale Pedras and Ferreiras, both at 1,639 euros, followed by G-Energy in Mendiga with the same price.
Intermarché de Santa Maria de Lamas has a slightly higher price, at 1,649 euros per liter. These numbers reflect how factors such as location and local competition continue to influence prices for this type of fuel.
Diesel + and LPG Auto: more economical options in Monção and Garcia
In the case of diesel +, the cheapest liter is at the Gasolar station in Monção, at 1,389 euros. The Auchan stations in Matosinhos and E.Leclerc in Lousada have slightly higher prices, at 1,409 and 1,429 euros, respectively. Intermarché in Sertã and Figueiró dos Vinhos also maintain 1,429 euros per liter, showing some stability in values in certain regions of the country.
For LPG Auto, the lowest prices are recorded at Jetbase in Garcia, at 0.788 euros per liter. The Intermarché stations in Mem Martins and the Auchan stations in places such as Dolce Vita Amadora, Alfragide and Sintra are located very close, at 0.789 euros.
Gasoline 95 + and 98 + have greater price dispersion
Intermarché in Vale Pedras, Plenergy in Paços de Ferreira and Intermarché in Canedo, all with 1,599 euros per liter. Cepsa in Ferreira do Zêzere has a slightly higher value, at 1,601 euros. Gasoline 98 + shows higher prices, with Repsol in Casimiro at 1,634 euros, Q8 in Santo Tirso at 1,739 euros, Intermarché in Faro at 1,759 euros, Q8 in Mozelos at 1,784 euros and Prio in Feiteira at 1,804 euros.
According to these numbers, they help drivers to better plan fuel supplies, saving money on a daily basis and avoiding unpleasant surprises when filling up the tank.
