João Fonseca, currently 19 years old and number 46 in the world, equaled his best performance in ATP 500 in Basel. The Rio native also reached the quarterfinals at the 2024 Rio Open.
In 2025, João won the ATP250 in Buenos Aires, his best tournament of the season so far.
