WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A meeting between the president of the United States, , and the president of Russia, , is not completely ruled out, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Thursday.
“I think the president and the entire administration hope that one day this can happen again, but we want to make sure there is a tangible positive outcome from this meeting,” she said at a press conference.
Trump said Wednesday that he canceled a planned meeting with Putin due to a lack of progress in diplomatic efforts to end the war in Russia.
