The leader of the PT in the Chamber, Lindbergh Farias, announced the filing of an appeal against the dismissal of the disciplinary process against federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) by the Ethics Council. The case was analyzed during a vote by the collegiate body yesterday afternoon, which had a score of 11 votes in favor and 7 against the filing. In a post on In the publication, he also said that the result of the vote was “a shame” and that Eduardo “continues in the United States conspiring against Brazil and committing the crime of international treason”. “It is absurd that he was not impeached and still has a team of advisors paid with public money to continue betraying the national interests of the USA,” he added.

The decision by the Chamber’s Ethics Council was also criticized by the Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, who said that the archiving would be “an encouragement to coup plotters” and a “disservice to democracy”. “Since when did conspiring with a foreign government against Brazil become a parliamentarian’s prerogative?”, he also asked in a post on X.
