US national activity index delayed by government shutdown

The disclosure of national activity index of the USA for September, prepared by the Chicago Fed (Federal Reserve), was postponed on account of strike of the Trump administration, the institution reported this Thursday (23).

The district mentions that the index incorporates a series of data from government agencies, whose publication was postponed due to the shutdown.

“After the federal government reopens, the Chicago Fed will announce a publication date for the index,” it adds.
