Three other UN international staff members in Yemen were also released. The 15 workers have been held for the last few days in the building complex of the Organization, which was invaded by the Houthis on Saturday.
According to the UN, another 53 of its workers are being “arbitrarily detained” by the Houthis, the pro-Iranian armed movement that has controlled most of Yemen, the poorest country on the Arabian peninsula that has been wracked by war for nearly a decade.
