The police charged a 44-year-old man with the crime of endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance from the village of Zámutov, who on Thursday (October 23) drove a car through the traffic lights on Duklianske hrdinov street in Vranov nad Topľou. He did not maintain a sufficient distance from the vehicle in front of him and crashed into it. TASR was informed about this by the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Prešov, Jana Ligdayová.

The driver of the second vehicle was a 30-year-old man from Prešov. “Both participants in the accident were checked, the older one had a positive breath test result with a value of 1.3 per thousand,” said the spokeswoman. The driver ended up in a police detention cell.
