New video has come to light, which appears to show the thieves’ spectacular exit and escape from the . The audio-visual is making the rounds on social media.
The video that has been circulating for the last few hours on , seems to show the cinematic exit of the Louvre robbers with the stolen jewels from the Napoleon collection, while cars pass by on the street.
In the audio-visual footage, two men, one wearing a hood and fluorescent vest and the other dressed in black with a motorcycle helmet, can be seen hurrying out of the window of the museum, from where they entered, using a crane vehicle. When they left, they left behind the electric wheels, a blanket, gloves and a wire.
At the same time, it is found that many videos circulating on the internet seem to be the creation of artificial intelligence. In one of them, the authenticity of which is checked, three men in yellow vests appear inside the car, in which they place the valuables, while the sirens sound incessantly.
However, the specific video is being checked, as according to the museum officials, the alarm did not go off inside the room but only in the control center.
Laurence de Carre, director of the museum, admitted that what all museum heads fear has happened, namely the theft of works of art they protect.
He confessed that, despite their efforts, they were “defeated”. From the moment he took over, he has constantly emphasized that the museum needs renovation, inside the museum for preventive reasons.
As it was emphasized that there are not enough perimeter cameras. Those that exist are old, they do not cover all the facades of the Louvre, and on the particular side where the robbery took place, the only camera that is installed faces west, not covering the balcony from which the perpetrators entered.
