The first time I prepared a salad with this dressing, my husband had doubts. However, when he tried it, he found that this addition perfectly enhances the taste. The best thing is that it goes well with various salads – you decide what ingredients you use.
- 50 ml olive oil,
- ½ shallot,
- 2 tablespoons of strong brewed coffee,
- 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar,
- 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard,
- 1 teaspoon of honey,
- 1 pinch of salt,
- 1 pinch of black pepper.
Chop the shallot very finely, grate it or grind it in a food processor.
In a bowl, mix coffee, vinegar, mustard and honey until uniform.
Add the olive oil slowly, stirring constantly until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper and finally stir in the chopped shallot.
Set the coffee salad dressing aside for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors combine. Taste everything and add a little more honey if necessary if you like sweeter dressings.
Pour the sauce over the salad and serve the dish immediately after preparation.
