US President indicates that Treasury Secretary and US Trade Representative will work on negotiations

The president of the United States, (Republican Party), stated that he must establish trade agreements with Brazil during a bilateral meeting with the president (PT). The meeting took place this Sunday (October 26, 2025), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, before the Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) summit.

“We have a lot of respect for your president, as you know, a lot of respect for Brazil. We’re probably going to close some deals. I’ll let these guys work on it, but I think we’re going to close some deals.”said the Republican, pointing to his commercial representatives.
