One person injured and six injured after shooting at Lincoln University. The police managed to detain the suspect, the campus is currently not in any further danger.
One person was killed and six others were injured in a shooting during the annual graduation ceremony at Lincoln University in the US state of Pennsylvania. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AP agency.
The police managed to detain one person with a firearm, and the authorities are currently investigating whether there were more shooters. But Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said during a press conference Sunday morning that the campus was not in immediate danger at this time.
Shooting near the university
The authorities say that the shooting happened on Saturday around 21:30 local time (Sunday 2:30 CET) in front of the building of the International Cultural Center, where there were tents and tables intended for sitting after the soccer match that took place earlier. Authorities have not released further details about the victim or the injured.
The prosecutor urged anyone with video of the crime scene or other information that could help the investigation to contact the FBI.

The investigation is being conducted by Chester County detectives with assistance from state police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Lincoln University was the first in the United States to award degrees to blacks.
