The pollen season of the strongest autumn allergen – the invasive ragweed, whose pollen was only present in the air in the past days at low levels, has ended. In the near future, it will reach only low, allergologically insignificant daily concentrations. Janka Lafférsová from the Regional Office of Public Health in Banská Bystrica stated this in connection with the current situation.
- The ragweed pollen allergen season is over.
- Ambrosia pollen reaches insignificant concentrations.
- Zlatobyľ remains risky for allergy sufferers near its stands.
- Total pollen concentrations will be low in the near future.
- Daily concentrations of fungal spores have a decreasing trend.
“Invasive goldenrod, belonging to the astraceae family, continues to bloom, whose pollen is less spread in the air, and for allergy sufferers it remains a risky movement near its stands. There, concentrations of its pollen can reach allergologically significant levels.” pointed out Laffersová.
According to her, only low concentrations of pollen in the air are expected in the near future. The daily concentrations of fungal spores (molds) also have a decreasing tendency, which in favorable conditions can still record a slight increase in daily concentrations.
