Lula leads the digital relevance ranking in the race for 2026

A Nexus survey analyzed the presence on social media of 11 names listed for next year’s elections

A survey released this Monday (27.Oct.2025) states that the president (PT) recorded the highest relevance index on social media among potential candidates for the Presidency of the Republic for 2026. The research monitored the digital presence of 11 names on Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok from January 1 to July 31, 2025. Read the (PDF – 6MB).

The survey used the IR² Nexus (Network Relevance Index) as a parameter. It is calculated based on a combination of metrics that consider not only the number of publications, but also audience interaction, the reach of posts and the efficiency of engagement. Evaluates the popularity and quality of interactions.

Nexus then assigns specific weights according to the strategic importance of each social network for the sector or brand analyzed.

Below is the score of each potential candidate on the IR² Nexus scale (0 to 100):

  • 1Lula: 79,76;
  • 2Eduardo Bolsonaro: 58,76;
  • 3Flávio Bolsonaro: 49,02;
  • 4Tarcísio de Freitas: 30,14;
  • 5Fernando Haddad: 12,96;
  • 6Michelle Bolsonaro: 12,85;
  • 7Romeo Low: 12,01;
  • 8Ronaldo Caiado: 11,78;
  • 9Ciro Gomes: 10,10;
  • 10Junior Mouse: 8,84;
  • 11Eduardo Leite: 7,75.

“Analysis by social network highlights important differences between platforms. Lula has more followers on almost all networks, except YouTube. At the same time, we found that the volume of publications does not always translate into greater engagement, highlighting the importance of efficiency per post”, said Nexus CEO Marcelo Tokarski.
