A woman from the district of Spišská Nová Ves found a tracking device in her car, the police are investigating the case. The regional police spokeswoman from Prešov, Jana Ligdayová, informed that a 27-year-old woman announced the discovery recently at the district department of the Police Force in Poprad.
“While handling her personal vehicle, she found a tracking device installed. On the basis of the above, the authorized officer in the case started criminal prosecution in the matter of the criminal act of dangerous stalking. This action by an as yet unknown perpetrator could significantly worsen the quality of life of the woman by following her.” stated Ligdayová, stating that the law stipulates a prison sentence of up to two years for the perpetrator of this illegal action.
