xAI launched Grokipedia, which presents itself as an alternative to Wikipedia and which has more than 885,000 articles generated by from Grok, announced Elon Musk on the social network X.
The AI company led by Elon Musk has made this information repository available to users so that anyone can search for information in a simple way, with the aim of sharing “the truth”.

Currently, the new tool has 885,279 articles available and presented only with text, without images.
As detailed by Musk himself in a post on the social network X, this is the first version of the new feature, which will be improved in the next versions.
Grokipedia was created with open source, so any user can use its services “at no cost”, as Musk explained.
Furthermore, Articles can be edited and changes made can be viewedalthough, for now, these options are not available to users.
It should also be taken into account that some articles offer content adapted from the Wikipedia platform itself.
In this regard, the spokesperson for the Wikimedia Foundation, Lauren Dickinson, cited by the Europa Press agency, clarifies that “many experiments have already been carried out to create alternative versions of Wikipedia” and that these initiatives “do not interfere” with its work and mission.
“Even Grokipedia needs Wikipedia to exist”, concluded Dickinson.
